The Last of Us’ series on HBO (now Max) is considered one of the best video game adaptations in live-action, and its fans are in luck because there is less and less left for the premiere of its second season. Filming for the episodes of season 2 of HBO’s ‘The Last of Us’ has ended

Filming of the episodes of season 2 of ‘The Last of Us’ concluded on August 19, 2024, as Timothy Good, one of its editors, has revealed on his social networks. In a post on his X account, this video editing specialist showed several images of a party to celebrate the completion of this phase of the series’ production.

Once filming is finished, the show can enter its post-production phase, which is the part of the audiovisual creation process in which the recorded footage is edited and assembled, in addition to making adjustments in terms of colorization, sound mixing, or adding visual effects.

The first trailer of the series, shown in early August 2024, already hinted at the advanced status of the project thanks to the multitude of sequences and characters that could be glimpsed in it.

In any case, work on these new episodes seems to be progressing at a good pace. and unless there is some setback or any other type of unforeseen event, we should be able to see these new chapters in 2025.
