‘The Last of Us’ Season 2 gets its first full trailer, reveals first look at Kaitlyn Dever’s Abby

The highly awaited (and slightly dreaded by fans of the games) second season of ‘The Last of Us’ on HBO/Max is releasing in 2025, and we now have our first trailer.

The Last of Us’ broke all audience records on Max, and in 2025 it is preparing to continue with all of its momentum. On the occasion of “Last of Us Day”, September 26, the production company shared the first teaser of the second season. The video, which you can see below, draws on nostalgia with one of the themes that awakens the most emotions for those who have played the second game in the series.

Future Days’, one of the best-known songs by ‘Pearl Jam’, is an integral aspect of the second part of the story. In The Last of Us Part 2, Joel sings the song to Ellie while playing the guitar. It is one of the moments where the young woman’s inspiration is born for wanting to know how to master the instrument. The father-daughter relationship is strengthened before the passing of the years withers it.

This is the first look at Abby in ‘The Last of Us season 2′

During the trailer, we can see our first look at Kaitlyn Dever in the role of Abby. Her face in pain in front of a wooden cross points to one of the key moments of the game. The truth is that the teaser traces many of the moments that can be seen during the first section of the game, from the snowy part to Ellie’s adventure through the forest with Dina.

Rawness also accompanies this footage. The production does not hesitate to convey the horrors of the hostile world that lie on the other side of Jacksonville’s wall. Little by little the protagonists will join a painful path of no return.
