The latest big gift from Pokémon Scarlet & Violet is here: get shiny Miraidon and Koraidon for a limited time
You can now get the most special version of the legendary Pokémon from the ninth generation.

There’s no doubt that support for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet is coming to an end. On October 16, Pokémon Legends: Z-A (which we have already played) will hit the market, bringing with it a new period of excitement until the long-awaited tenth generation. Until then, The Pokémon Company has launched a special promotion for its legendary Pokémon in the United States: you can now get shiny versions of Miraidon and Koraidon.
The promotion is available for a limited time and is exclusive to GameStop stores. Between September 26 and October 15, you can visit your local store as a member to receive up to two codes, one for each legendary character.

The code is distributed as follows: you must bring your Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2 with the game installed in order to receive it. If you only have Pokémon Scarlet, for example, you will receive a single code.
When you redeem it on the Poképortal in your game, you will receive the legendary Pokémon from the opposite edition. Yes, Scarlet players will receive Shiny Miraidon, while Violet players will receive Shiny Koraidon. If you have both editions, you can exchange them without any problems. Remember to save your game after redeeming them so you don’t lose them, as the code you receive is single-use only.
Limited and exclusive: you won’t always be able to get shiny Koraidon and Miraidon
Why are we highlighting this promotion? Because catching the legendary Pokémon from each edition in shiny form is becoming increasingly restricted. It’s very, very rare for The Pokémon Company to release these versions in other campaigns later on. There is a chance that they might repeat, but it would certainly be very unusual.
Without going any further, shiny Zacian and Zamanzenta were distributed in a similar format in Pokémon Sword and Shield. Yes, they could also be obtained in Pokémon GO, but Niantic’s game goes a little off on its own when it comes to fitting them into the rest of the editions.
