The new batch of episodes will arrive on Prime Video on August 29 next year.

The waters of Middle-earth are troubled. The Second Age is a time of relative peace, but the light of the Elves is fading and the darkness of the Orcs is spreading. Aware of the dangers ahead, Lady Galadriel has forged alliances to confront Sauron, who is unleashing his army of orcs in search of his longed-for conquest. The second season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” is set within this conflict, which promises bloody battles in which protagonists may lose their lives. The new trailer for the series makes it clear that the time of truce is over. You can watch it below these lines.

The Prime Video series is based on some of the major works of Professor J.R.R. Tolkien, although the story told is original as they do not own the rights to all of the author’s publications. The show’s creators plan to depict the forging of Sauron’s rings, leading up to the situation in The Lord of the Rings trilogy when Frodo and company set out for Mordor to destroy the One Ring. The show will run for five seasons, so there will be time to weave all these threads together.

As the second season of ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’

Those curious about how the second season will begin can read the words of showrunners Patrick McKay and J.D. Payne. According to them, the first sequence takes place in a dark environment, the perfect place for Sauron’s coronation. It is Adar who takes the crown and places it on the Dark Lord’s temples. Just before this happens, the father of the orcs stabs his master in the back. It is seemingly the murder of Sauron, a character who will be central to the second season.

New episodes of ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’ will be available on Prime Video beginning August 29. The series is unrelated to Peter Jackson’s films, which will continue their own run with new products. From the anime film ‘The War of the Rohirrim’ to the two new live-action films, including ‘The Hunt for Gollum’, directed by and starring Andy Serkis.
