The Marvel TV boss wants to bring back Danny Ketch’s Ghost Rider

The Ghost Rider could terrorize the MCU once again if one of the Marvel TV bosses has their way, bringing Danny Ketch from the pages to the big screen.

It’s only a matter of time before the Spirit of Vengeance makes its official debut in the MCU, at least officially since one of its bearers, Robbie Reyes, already had a role in ‘Agents of SHIELD’. And when all the bets to know who would be the Ghost Driver of the Marvel Cinematic Universe pointed towards both Reyes and the original Ghost Rider, Johnny Blaze, the head of Marvel Studios for everything related to television assures that he would go in another direction.

And it doesn’t seem like Reyes - played by Gabriel Luna- has a great future in the MCU, like everything related to ‘Agents of SHIELD’, and the commitment to the veteran Rider does not fit with the current philosophy of Kevin Feige and company for giving attention to younger characters. Furthermore, Reyes was not exactly possessed by the Spirit of Vengeance, but by that of Eli Morrow, a satanic cultist, so Brad Winderbaum, head of Marvel Studios in television, streaming, and animation, wants another of the bearers.

Danny Ketch aims to be the MCU’s Ghost Rider

“I would wanna do the Danny Ketch era of Ghost Rider,” said Winderbaum. “I think there are a lot of people who would be here for some Ghost Rider.”

Ketch is the third Ghost Rider in history, having made his debut in 1990. Riding a very powerful and robust motorcycle, one of Ketch’s most peculiar abilities is to make other people experience the emotional pain they have caused others through his misdeeds and criminal activities, causing great mental torment.

As for who would be in charge of playing him, obviously there is nothing official - not even the return of the character is official - but a famous actor has already presented his candidacy. “Hey man, if Ryan wants to be Ghost Rider..”said Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, about a few words from Ryan Gosling applying to debut in the MCU.
