Manga

The new Jujutsu Kaisen epilogue brings the story of four characters to a close, but it doesn’t quite convince fans

The origin and future of some of JuJutsu Kaisen’s most popular characters.

jujutsu kaisen

While we wait for the third season of the ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’ anime to be released, the manga, although finished, continues to offer new details thanks to the release of volumes 29 and 30, which bring the series to a close. This simultaneous release came out on the 25th of December and ends at chapter 271, but includes an unpublished epilogue that reveals news about several characters.

Gege Akutami has tried to show more about characters from his work that perhaps could have been given more weight in some cases, and more detail in others, in the final stretch of ‘Jujutsu Kaisen’. The characters in question are Nobara Kugisaki, Yuko Ozawa, Uraume and Panda. The appearance of Ozawa took many by surprise, as the character, a former partner of Yuji Itadori, only appeared in chapter 64 of the manga.

An epilogue about multiple characters

In the case of Panda, the epilogue places us in the year 2080, and due to his existence he has seen many of his battle companions die. A character who was progressively losing his functions and, after the loss of his motor activity in 2035 was stored by the Gojo Clan, which after the death of Satoru is led by Yuta. Panda retains his consciousness and is able to move on occasion, and we even see Yuta’s grandchildren, but it is unknown if the latter is still alive.

Who did Yuta marry? Everything points to him marrying Maki Zenin, based on the relationship seen between the two in ‘Jujutsu Kaisen 0′ and the physical appearance of the children. On the other hand, the epilogue shows Ozawa having a reunion with Itadori in his hometown, where he asks him if he still loves the snow, to which Yuji answers yes. There is also more about Nobara and his family, showing us his mother and the tense encounter he has with her, as well as Uraume’s past in the middle of the Heian era and how he begins his relationship with Sukuna, to whom he was eternally faithful.
