The new trendy game? BattleBit, a pixelated 254-player Battlefield is a big hit
We tell you all about BattleBit, a multiplayer FPS that while still in early access is already breaking user records on Steam.
All signs point to the fact that a star has just been born and its name is BattleBit Remastered, a kind of Battlefield with pixelated graphics that attracts attention the moment you see it. It has only been on Steam for a few days and at the time of writing the game has a rating of 9 out of 10 and has been able to exceed 53,000 concurrent players. If you haven’t heard of it yet, we’ll tell you everything you need to know about this trendy new game.
How is BattleBit Remastered played?
The question is easy to answer because the experience is virtually the same as any other multiplayer FPS, especially the saga that inspired it: Battlefield. However, BattleBit Remastered has very interesting mechanics and elements that make it different from many other titles, starting with its crazy number of players: up to 254 per game.
The 19 maps are huge and there is total freedom to modify them through the destruction of scenarios, you can use vehicles to decant the battle on a large scale (cars, tanks, ships, helicopters, and several more) and almost 50 weapons. There is a day and night cycle and, as in the Battlefield saga, when choosing a soldier we must specialize in a class (support, medic, engineer, reconnaissance). In addition, the studio ensures a perfect performance in terms of framerate. Here are the technical requirements for BattleBit Remastered.
