The official synopsis for ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ reveals a major villain “no one can even see”
The new synopsis for ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ hints at its enigmatic villain and sparks theories among fans, with the Jackal as the leading candidate to be the main threat.

It’s only a matter of days before we get to see the latest trailer for ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day,’ which has already been leaked, but until then, the official synopsis gives us plenty of information. Or at least a clue, since one of the surprises the film holds, according to the synopsis, is “a villain that not everyone can see.”
It has been confirmed that the Punisher, the Hulk, Scorpion, and the Hand will be joining the Spider-Verse, but it’s not yet clear who the film’s main villain will be. Does the synopsis offer any clues?
“It’s a BRAND NEW DAY for Peter Parker,” reads the synopsis. “Fighting crime full-time as Spider-Man in a world that doesn’t remember him—and the pressure of seeing his old friends move on without him—sparks a change in Peter he may not have the power to control.”
“But that transformation might also be the only thing that can stop a shocking new threat to the city and those he loves - a powerful villain no one can even see,” continues the film’s official synopsis. “The world may have forgotten Peter Parker, but he hasn’t forgotten them.”

Obviously, rumors have started to circulate, and the name Jackal is being mentioned a lot. His true identity is Miles Warren, Peter and Gwen Stacy’s teacher, who became obsessed with Gwen. After her death, he blamed Spider-Man and began experimenting with genetics, creating Ben Reilly (later Scarlet Spider) and a clone of Gwen herself.
The premiere is just weeks away
We’ve also learned that this will be the longest film featuring the character among all those starring Tom Holland, clocking in at no less than two and a half hours.
Joining Holland are returning series staples such as Zendaya (Mary Jane Watson) and Jacob Batalon (Ned). Other confirmed cast members include Jon Bernthal (Punisher), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk/Bruce Banner), Krondon (Goblin), Sadie Sink (role to be confirmed, though it appears to be Jean Grey), and Michael Mando (Scorpion). There is also speculation about Elektra’s debut in the MCU, with Elodie Yung returning to the role of the Greek ninja after her debut in the second season of ‘Daredevil’.
