The Punisher returns on Disney+ with a one-hour special set between Daredevil and Spider-Man
The one-hour One Last Kill bridges the gap between Daredevil: Born Again and July’s upcoming Spider-Man sequel.

The Punisher is coming back—and sooner than we expected. Under the grand title ‘Marvel Television Special Presentation: The Punisher: One Last Kill’, Jon Bernthal will once again be fully armed in this one-hour special episode, which premieres on May 12 on Disney+.
This special will place the Punisher at a very specific point in time: one week after the end of Season 2 of ‘Daredevil: Born Again’, but before his appearance in the upcoming MCU film, ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’. Interestingly, the last time we saw Frank Castle was during the first season of the series starring Charlie Cox, in which the vigilante is captured by Wilson Fisk’s Anti-Vigilante Task Force, though it was suspected that he might have escaped.
What will ‘The Punisher: One Last Kill’ be about?
For now, there isn’t much information about this TV special, though some leaks may give us an idea of where it’s headed. Filming for this special took place last summer, and in the leaked footage, a dark-haired woman in a wheelchair was spotted, with some comic book fans recognizing her as the notorious mafia boss Carmela Magdalena “Ma” Gnucci. For now, it’s not confirmed that this character will actually appear, since even fans couldn’t identify the actress playing her. We’ll likely get a trailer in the coming weeks that will give us more information.

As for ‘One Last Kill’, it’s a bit of a misleading subtitle, since, as we mentioned earlier, Frank Castle will be back a few weeks later for the next adventure of our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man in July. And judging by his brief appearance in the trailer, he’s still alive and eager to keep shooting.
