The theory about Angela (Silent Hill 2 Remake) that connects her to the anime that inspired Stranger Things

Eleven is one of the main characters in the Netflix series, and its creators revealed some time ago that they were inspired by a character from ‘Elfen Lied’.

The Silent Hill 2 Remake has just landed, and as is usually the case when Konami’s horror saga is in the news, many fans begin to comment on their theories and speculate on the countless little details that their titles hide. One of the most interesting theories points to Angela Orosco, a woman James meets several times in the game.

  • NOTE: Below are some spoilers about Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 2 Remake, especially about the character of Angela.

Angela and the anime that inspired Stranger Things.

Several years ago, the Duffer Brothers claimed that Eleven, the protagonist of Stranger Things, was inspired by Lucy, a character from an anime called Elfen Lied, which deals with experiments on children who have special abilities, such as the ability to recognize people from a distance or certain telekinetic abilities.

How does she relate to Angela from the Silent Hill 2 Remake? Well, the suspicious similarities she has with Mayu, another character from ‘Elfenlied’. This girl was sexually abused by her own father, while her mother ignored and psychologically abused her. To make matters worse, Mayu’s appearance is very similar to Angela’s, as she has an identical hairstyle and also dresses in a very discreet way, avoiding any kind of sexual stimulation from men.
