According to a Cremation Approval Summary Report from the Pinellas County, Florida Medical Examiner’s Office, the well-known actor died due to pulmonary metastasis from metastatic head and neck cancer. The cause of death was declared natural, while McMahon’s remains were cremated in the strictest family privacy.

Reactions to the death of Julian McMahon were not long in coming, with family, friends and colleagues showing their affection and condolences for such an abrupt loss of an actor who had his last appearances on the small and big screen with Netflix’s ‘The Residence’ and ‘The Surfer’ alongside Nicolas Cage, respectively. However, one of the most emotional expressions of affection has been from Brooke Burns, his first wife and mother of his only daughter: “Rest in peace,” wrote his ex-partner next to a photo posted on Instagram showing Julian and his daughter Madison.
