The two actors who won’t be in the second season of ‘Wednesday’ on Netflix
Season 2 of the series arrives on the platform today without two of its recognizable faces.
‘Wednesday’ is one of Netflix’s most popular series in recent years. The plot centers on Wednesday Addams, played by Jenna Ortega, the youngest member of the peculiar and terrifying family who must develop her psychic abilities while attending Nevermore Academy. After a successful first season in 2022, the series premieres the first part of season 2 today on the streaming platform. The next part will arrive on September 3, and ‘Wednesday’ has also been renewed for a third season.
However, two characters from season 1 will not appear in this sequel: Xavier Thorpe and Yoko Tanaka. Played by Percy Hynes White and Naomi J. Ogawa, respectively, various issues have prevented them from returning to Wednesday.
The reasons for his absence
Xavier Thorpe was Wednesday Addams’ romantic interest in season 1 of the Netflix series. However, despite the fact that his storyline was still open, he will not appear in season 2. No comments have been made about his departure, but it is rumored that the sexual assault allegations against actor Percy Hynes White have had a lot to do with it.
The case of Yoko Tanaka, Wednesday’s vampire classmate, is due to the commitments and scheduling issues of actress Naomi J. Ogawa. In addition, she felt that her character did not need further development, so she left it alone. Lady Gaga will appear in the second season of ‘Wednesday,’ alongside Jenna Ortega. The actress and singer will play Rosaline Rotwood, a teacher at Nevermore Academy.
