The two actresses who return for a final cameo in the last episode of ‘IT: Welcome to Derry’ on HBO

The first season of ‘Welcome to Derry,’ the HBO Max horror series that explores the origins of Pennywise (It), has come to an end, and viewers seem to be very, very satisfied with the conclusion. Now that it’s all over, many are discussing what happened in the last episode, especially regarding two characters who made a surprise appearance.

• Joan Gregson - The actress filmed her scene in Welcome to Derry weeks before her death on June 6. Her appearance takes place in a post-credits scene and serves, in a way, as a symbolic closure that pays tribute to her. She previously appeared in ‘It: Part 2,’ the 2019 film.
• Sophia Lillis - She’s Beverly Marsh! This is a key character in ‘It’, Stephen King’s original novel. A member of the so-called Losers Club, she has, unsurprisingly, sparked all kinds of theories about which events from the book will be covered in the upcoming seasons of ‘Welcome to Derry’.

Andy Muschietti, director and screenwriter of the series, recently made it clear: “Season one is just the first of the three steps that make up this story, So, there are more more story to cover.” The fact that the filmmaker refers to the first season as one part of a total of three suggests that there will be at least two more seasons. It is an extensive work, so the potential for it to become a series with several story arcs is very high. Now we just have to wait a little longer to find out when we will see the next one.
