The Walking Dead
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon’s first trailer is mysterious and somber
The Norman Reedus AMC spinoff, The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, has revealed a first look at the post-apocalyptic adventure set in France.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, the new spin-off of The Walking Dead starring Norman Reedus once more in the role of Daryl Dixon, has finally been shown off in a short trailer only a few months from its release, since it will arrive to the small screen at some point during Fall 2023. And it does so by showing the first steps of Daryl lost in the middle of France, far from the Commonwealth, where we met the fan-favorite character of the AMC Series. It was the AMC Network itself who shared it through their official channels, with the caption: “Stranger in a strange land! Daryl (Norman Reedus) finds himself stranded in France, will he be able to find his way back home?”
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon releases Fall 2023
In the trailer Daryl can be seen, for some reason that we hope to find out in the series, wandering around the French countryside near Marseilles heading to Paris while trying to survive the dangers of a post-apocalyptic world, plagued with zombies, just like in his far away home: America. With a walkie-talkie in hand, Daryl tries to contact survivors to help him get back home. However, the road will not be easy, with dangers -both human and zombie- everywhere.
The focus of this new series will be Daryl himself trying to find the way home, in addition to finding out how and why he has been trapped in France, on the other side of the ocean. In addition, the director and producer of the The Walking Dead franchise, Greg Nicotero, added that The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon will be very different from everything seen in the 11 seasons of the main series in which Norman Reedus became quite an icon.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is “definitely not the same”, Nicotero has assured. In this sense, this new spin-off will introduce places never seen before, new characters, and a way of understanding the zombie apocalypse from a totally new point of view.
