There will be more Stranger Things in 2026: the first spin-off will arrive on Netflix this year
It will be set in Hawkins, feature the same protagonists, and bear the signature of the Duffer brothers, who promise new monsters.

It’s over (and in style), but Netflix is far from saying goodbye to Stranger Things. The platform wants to squeeze every last drop out of its universe and is preparing several spin-offs that will be to Stranger Things what House of the Dragon and The Knight of the Seven Kingdoms are to Game of Thrones. In fact, the first of these will not be long in coming and will arrive in 2026. It will be called Stranger Things: Tales From ‘85, will be animated, and will feature the same protagonists as the original series.
Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 will once again be directed by the Duffer brothers and will be set in Hawkins. The story will take place between the second and third seasons of the series and, as we mentioned, will once again star Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, and Eleven, although they will not be voiced by their usual actors. Netflix promises “the appearance of several new monsters,” including a giant carnivorous plant.

The scene at the end of Stranger Things that hints at another spin-off
If you’ve already seen the season finale, you’ll surely remember the scene where Vecna’s past is revealed. That sequence in the tunnel where we see Henry kill a man in self-defense and pick up a kind of stone that causes the Mind Flayer to possess him. Well, the second spin-off in the works, this one live action, will address precisely the origin of that stone.
“The spinoff is going to delve into that and explain that, and you’re going to understand it,” the Duffer brothers told Variety. “But it’s a completely different mythology. So it’s not a deep exploration of the Mind Flayer or anything like that. It’s very fresh and very new, but yes, it will answer some of the loose threads that are remaining.”

The bad news is that we will have to wait quite a bit longer for this second spin-off, as there is still no estimated release date, casting, or even finalized scripts.
