There’s a new free game on the Epic Games Store: ‘Cursed to Golf’

The Epic Games Store is continuing its tradition of giving away games, and during the Christmas season it’s going all out: one free game every day from today and until January 4, 2024. Every 24 hours, a new title will take the stage, available for all Epic users to claim forever at no cost whatsoever. We’ve had epic multiplayer shooters, AAA ghost-hunting action games, beloved indie racers, and much more. And today we’re getting yet another title.

Cursed to Golf is a golf-like adventure where every shot counts. Players are tasked with making it out of Golf Purgatory to become a Golfing Legend.

Play as The Cursed Golfer, trapped in Golf Purgatory after a freak accident takes you out as you’re about to take the winning shot of an international tournament! Legend says that playing through the devious courses across Golf Purgatory will get you back to the land of the living and, more importantly, to the trophy you were about to win. Each course is governed by a ghostly Legendary Caddie, who will tutor you in the mystical ways of golf to aid you on your quest for redemption and revival.

Cursed to Golf offers a fresh take on the golfing and roguelike subgenres. Make your way through a hole within the PAR Count or your curse will take you back to the beginning of the course! To add to the challenge, these courses don’t just have bunkers and rough spots but are also chock full of mad obstacles like high powered fans, spikes, TNT boxes, teleporters and a whole load more. It’s all par for the course in this twisted take on the classic game!

Don’t forget that you only get 24 hours to claim each of the free games being given away at the Epic Games Store, if you missed one, you won’t get a chance to claim it unless the store chooses to give it away again in the future. The rotation takes place every day at 7AM PT, and as we mentioned before, we’ll be getting new titles all the way to January 4, 2024. This is a great time for you to fill up your library, as we’re sure to get some fantastic titles.
