These are the prestige levels in Black Ops 6 that pay tribute to the old CoD games: which one do you remember?
Black Ops 6 is just around the corner, and details about Prestige and upcoming emblems are starting to appear online. And some of them are tributes to past games.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has become one of the most anticipated titles in the successful and long-running franchise. Activision’s commitment to longer development aims to bear fruit with what may be the best installment in the saga. We are facing a title that aims to lay the foundations for the future of Call of Duty, and one of the great news is that on October 25, it will be available Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC (Microsoft Store, Battle.net and Steam)
And of course, some fans are already ready to climb the ranks and reach prestige. But this time, some of the levels are clear tributes to previous games in the series. As veterans know already, Prestige is available whenever you reach max level, where you’ll be presented with the option to unlock permanent rewards in exchange for going back down all the way to level 1. This time however there is a whole hub dedicated to prestige progression.
What happens when you Prestige?
So what exactly happens when you choose to Prestige? Of course, you’ll be promoted to Prestige 1 (or whatever prestige number you reach), but also:
- Reset to Player Level 1.
- All Level Unlocks will be relocked and must be unlocked again, except for Base Operators, Emotes, and Zombies GobbleGums, as well as anything you Permanently Unlock (more on that later).
- Your Loadouts will be reset.
- Lifetime stats will remain viewable in the Combat Record, but your stats elsewhere in the game will only show stats for your current Prestige.
The following progress won’t be lost, however:
- Weapon Progression, Camos, & Reticles.
- Weapon Builds - your favorite Weapon may be relocked but all the Builds you’ve created for it will be waiting for you when you reach the level needed to unlock it again.
- Challenge Progress & Unlocks.
- Store and Battle Pass Content.
- Operator and Emote Unlocks.
- Zombies GobbleGums.

Treyarch went ahead and revealed that, this time, a few Prestige emblems are special in the sense that they’re homages to every single title in the Black Ops series.
