The production team did not want to create the alien-human hybrid with special effects. To bring him to life, they relied on the interpretation of Robert Bobroczkyi, a basketball player of Romanian origin who is 7′ 7″ tall. His slender, long-limbed appearance is perfect for conveying the image of a humanoid opponent.
In “Alien Romulus,” he takes on the role of “The Offspring,” the child who is suddenly born from the womb of Kay (Isabela Merced). The young girl was injected with a dose that the station developed by combining human and alien genetics. What they thought would be the “perfect human” ended up being an abomination that nearly killed the protagonist, Rain (Cailee Spaeny).
As for Bobroczky, his appearance in the movie marks his debut as an actor. He appears in practically ten shots in the entire movie, but his menacing appearance gives him unique qualities for portraying this type of character. Who knows what the future holds for him as he is called upon for similar roles. He embroiders it.
