Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 is here. This new stage of the game brings with it a new map. The new island is now available, and it has brought with it many new locations full of secrets to discover and reveal. In this news item, we leave you with all the details about the new Fortnite map:
This is the new map for Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2
Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 is called Showdown, and the new map continues with what we saw in last season, Pacific Break, with some tweaks here and there, as well as new Named Locations being replaced.
The new season will remain active until June 5th 2026, and this new stage adds a new map full of changes and new features. Here are all the locations to visit, 14 in total:

- Dark Dominion (formerly Lethal Labs)
- Fore Fields
- Frigid Fortress
- Humble Hills
- Latte Landing
- New Sanctuary (formerly Classified Canyon)
- Painted Palms
- Ripped Tides
- Sandy Strip
- Squibbly Shores (formerly Bumpy Bay)
- Sub Studios
- Tiptop Terrace
- Wonkeeland
As you can see, the new map makes specific adjustments to what we saw at the beginning of Chapter 7, using it as a solid foundation that, as with every season, is altered to advance the narrative. Among the notable changes is a new Named Location in the snowy area to the north, now called Frigid Fortress, which will serve as the base for the Ice King, the season’s villain. Meanwhile, three other Named Locations have been replaced, with Squibbly Shores, New Sanctuary, and Dark Dominion now featured on the map.
The changes are minor, but like every seasonal update, they let you explore new areas without drastically altering the experience. We’ll see how much things change by the end of the season and how the Ice King’s presence ends up changing the experience as the months go by.
