This is the spectacular comparison of Dina and Ellie’s dance in the show and the game from ‘The Last of Us’

HBO promises to be incredibly faithful to the second installment of Naughty Dog’s saga.

Sony wanted to use the first days of the year to make a handful of interesting announcements during its conference at CES 2025, the world’s most important technology and innovation show. At the event, they revealed that they are working on movie adaptations of Helldivers 2 and Horizon: Zero Dawn, as well as an anime based on Ghost of Tsushima Legends. In addition to all this, they showed a new trailer for the second season of ‘The Last of Us’ that left no one indifferent.

The sequel to the acclaimed HBO series will premiere its new episodes in April, and its latest teaser included several glimpses of some of the most emblematic scenes from the original video game. One of them is the dance between Ellie and Dina, which will be recreated to perfection.

Season 2 of The Last of Us will be released on MAX in 2025

The comparison between the series and the video game is one of the most discussed aspects of this production, and on this occasion, fans seem to be pleased with the recreation of the atmosphere, gestures and dance choreography presented in the trailer. Some even point out that details such as lighting and costumes have been carefully adapted. In addition, it is confirmed that the casting choice of Isabela Merced to play Dina is simply fantastic. Now we just have to wait until April to see if HBO will surprise us again with ‘The Last of Us’. For many, the first season was one of the best video game adaptations ever made. Will the new episodes live up to that?
