We’ve just got our first look at LeBron James in NBA 2K24, and in case you were wondering just how long he’s been playing in the NBA, well… it’s a lot.
If you’re a basketball fan, we don’t need to convince you to buy NBA 2K24 when it releases this September. But just in case you need a little pick-me-up, how about taking a good look at the one and only King James in-game? It’s been over 20 years since LeBron started playing in the NBA, and with so much time under his belt he’s obviously been around in NBA games for as long.
The NBA 2K24 official account on Twitter/X has started sharing its player ratings as short teasers, taking the opportunity to tease the athletes’ looks in game, and with them making full use of the power of new generation consoles like the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 the results are staggering. The detail the developers have put into making the most photoreal graphics possible for the upcoming game is undeniable.
But just in case you don’t see an upgrade, just take look at LeBron’s first-ever appearance in an NBA game. “How can I explain,” says user @trescoball, mocking people who say LeBron hasn’t been in the NBA for that long. And yeah, the difference is… quite noticeable…
Which players have the best rankings in NBA 2K24?
A list has appeared on the portal 2kratings.com that shows all the players of the upcoming title in the franchise and their ranking. Among the top 10 we find Nikola Jokic, Giannis Antetokounmpo or Luka Doncic, leaving LeBron James in fifth place. But is this list official? The answer is no. In fact, the same page has a caption that reads, “The ratings listed for NBA 2K24 are subject to change upon official release by 2K.” So... it would be a good idea not to take this as an official source.
It will take some time for 2K Sports and Visual Concepts to reveal these rankings (in fact, they haven’t even revealed the cover athlete for the standard version of the game). Considering that NBA 2K24 will be released on September 8th, we can’t wait for the rankings to be released in late August or early September.
