Dragon Ball
This was the first design of Frieza that Akira Toriyama eventually discarded
He is one of the most popular Dragon Ball villains and has transformed almost ten times.
Frieza is by far one of the most popular villains in the history of Dragon Ball. He was the enemy against whom Goku was first transformed into Supersaiyan, and he is one of those who has undergone multiple transformations throughout several arcs of Akira Toriyama’s work. And as usual, to the different forms that the characters take, we must add the drafts that are discarded.
Do you know the original idea that Toriyama had for him? The mangaka had imagined him as a much bigger and stronger character than the one that finally appeared in ‘Dragon Ball’, but it is still possible to take a look at the original sketch. Take a look.
Frieza, a villain with lots of transformations
At some point, Frieza became a product of meme, as between the Namek arc in “Dragon Ball Z” and the movie “Dragon Ball Super: Broly,” the villain achieved almost ten different transformations. It was only in the Namek saga that we saw some of his more impressive transformations. Death did not let the charismatic and incombustible villain continue to have other transformations, taking on shapes and colors of all kinds.
