Time Takers opens registration for its first Closed Beta
The survival shooter that turns every second into a vital resource comes to Steam this March.
At this point, it may seem like everything has already been invented in the competitive action gaming scene, but NCSOFT and Mistil Games are ready to prove otherwise. The Korean companies announced today that Time Takers will have its first Closed Beta on March 13, 2026, marking the public debut of this innovative survival shooter.
A clash of eras and global scenarios
With a different approach to traditional FPS games, the game challenges squads of three players to master the Time Energy in fractured scenarios, where every decision can mean victory or defeat.
The proposal breaks with the usual logic of health as the main resource, as here the Time Energy is both the source of power and the lifeline. Players can invest it to improve skills and equip “apps” that enhance combat, but spending too much can leave the team vulnerable. The result is a high-pressure game cycle that rewards coordination and strategy for those who know when to risk everything and when to hold back.
How to participate in the Beta
During the Closed Beta, participants will be able to experience the core gameplay with:
- 12 playable characters, each from different eras and with unique abilities, from medieval knights to futuristic aliens.
- Three immersive maps, ranging from the Japanese-inspired Yokogawa to the medieval corridors of Morstadt and the neon-lit futuristic streets of Miraesi.
- Team-based combat for teams of three, where mobility and cooperation are essential, including the ability to transfer health to extend a teammate’s participation in the heat of battle.
The Beta will be available primarily in North and South America, with direct access via Steam for players in the United States, Canada, and Latin America. Those in other regions can get promotional codes by joining the official Discord, where there will also be giveaways and rewards such as a year of Discord Nitro.
The full release of Time Takers is scheduled for PC and consoles later in 2026, but the Closed Beta in March will be the first opportunity for players to experience firsthand this world where time is the most valuable currency, proving that there is still room for innovation in arena shooters.
