Tom Holland calls 'Spider-Man 4' a 'crazy' film and sets expectations high

Last Wednesday, 23rd October, Tom Holland visited Good Morning America where he spoke briefly about ‘Spider-Man 4′, a project currently in pre-production at Disney and Marvel. He revealed that the film will start shooting in the summer 2025 and described the plot as “a very crazy idea, a little bit different from what we’ve done before.” The project is currently without a release date.
The actor’s comments, while somewhat vague and ambiguous, set the bar high, because if Holland is talking about it this way, it means it will surpass what we’ve already seen in Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), which was a nostalgic waste of time with the return of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man.
The fourth Spider-Man film in the MCU will mark the seventh time Holland has played the popular Marvel superhero, his most recurring film role and the one with which he is most associated.
