Tomb Raider I-III Remastered has an achievement/Trophy for locking the butler in the freezer
27 years later, players can once again abuse poor Winston thanks to Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, this time even getting a reward for doing so.
The Tomb Raider I-III Remastered recollection of games is now available in digital stores around the world, bringing with it more than 200 Achievements and Trophies to unlock with such varied tasks that range from completing each level to gathering collectibles or, as in the case at hand, locking Winston the butler in the freezer. It’s one of the franchise’s most remembered moments because of its humor, hidden away in Tomb Raider II. Now it is back in this trilogy of remastered games, and it has its reward.
The remastered Tomb Raider trilogy rewards us for trapping Winston in the freezer
Winston is the Croft family’s faithful butler., and we can see him waddle around Croft Mansion following Lara when we choose to play in this level. In the Tomb Raider II version of the Croft Manor there is a huge freezer in the kitchen; We can make poor Winston follow us at his own pace—he is an old man after all—and then we can leave the room quickly and lock him up.
If we open the freezer door again we will see how the poor man has literally frozen. Tomb Raider I-III Remastered rewards us for this act of cruelty by unlocking the Achievement/Trophy called TR2 Crime and Punishment. The description is “Lure the butler into the fridge, wait for him to make a bad sound and lock him in there.”
The collection includes a whopping 269 Achievements and Trophies distributed among the three included games and their expansions. If we are one of those people who every time an unlock notification sounds receive a burst of dopamine, this trilogy is perfect, because not only do we have dozens of hours of gameplay ahead of us with the content of each individual title, but we also have all of the Achievements and Trophies it includes to increase your replayability.
When is Tomb Raider I-III Remastered available?
Tomb Raider I-III Remastered was released on February 14, 2024 through Steam, the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch. However, it is only available in digital format and there are no plans for a physical release.
