Alligator (1980)

We kick things off with Alligator, one of the most iconic B-movies in the genre. It stars Robert Forster, a familiar face in the genre before becoming widely known for roles in Quentin Tarantino’s Jackie Brown (1997) and the series Breaking Bad. The story follows a crocodile that, after growing up in the Chicago sewers, accidentally consumes growth hormones and begins to terrorize the city.

Eaten Alive (1976)

Directed by Tobe Hooper—the filmmaker behind The Texas Chain Saw Massacre and PoltergeistEaten Alive premiered at the Sitges Film Festival and received mostly positive reviews. The film centers on Judd, a mentally disturbed hotel owner in the swamps of Louisiana, who keeps a crocodile in his backyard and feeds it with the flesh of unfortunate guests.

Lake Placid (1999)

Starring Sam Worthington (Avatar), Rogue follows an American journalist who travels to Australia to report on tourism.
