‘Twisters’ star Glen Powell social media fires up hopes of him being James Gunn’s DCU new Batman

Glen Powell is hitting it off in Hollywood, but now fans believe he’s well on the way to become the next Batman.

There are many actors who have presented their candidacy to become the Batman of the new DC Universe in charge of James Gunn: from Jake Gyllenhaal to Alan Ritchson, passing by Winston Duke and even Glen Powell. Precisely the latter is the one who seems to have taken the advantage, as by taking a look at his Instagram account one sees some proof that he is going along with everything, with his last follows perhaps hinting at something big.

Powell, currently on a double bill - with ‘Twisters’ and ‘Hit Man’-, and having become known to the general public thanks to his role in ‘Top Gun Maverick’, and then in ‘Anyone but You’, with Sydney Sweeney, wants to consolidate his emerging career in Hollywood. And what’s better than putting on Batman’s black suit? In this way, Powell has begun to follow four of the visible heads of this new DC Universe.

Powell bets big on the Dark Knight

Of course, James Gunn is one of those he has started to follow. The director and producer, who is currently working on the filming of ‘Superman’, now commands DC Studios alongside Peter Safran, being responsible for everything that comes out of the production company. He also now follows David Corenswet -with whom he shares work in ‘Twisters’-, who is the new Man of Steel, and Rachel Brosnahan (Lois Lane). But the thing does not end there, and it is precisely the most recent follow he made to Andrés Muschietti. The director, responsible for ‘The Flash’, will also be the one to be behind the cameras in the first Batman movie in this new DC Universe, which will be based on the story of ‘The Brave and the Bold’.

Thus, we are talking about something that could be nothing more than an anecdote, but that seems too coincidental to mean nothing. Or have there, in fact, already been conversations between Powell, Gunn, and Muschietti?
