Ubisoft is bringing more of its games to Steam: Far Cry 6, Rainbow Six Extraction, and more
In a new victory for gamers everywhere, Ubisoft announced it’ll keep bringing more of its recent games to Steam in an effort to expand their availability.
One of the handicaps of the PC market is the proliferation of platforms and launchers from different companies that do nothing more than divide the digital libraries of the players. With stores like Steam, Epic Games Store, Battle.Net, and Ubisoft Connect we already have four large platforms with many titles that only appear on one of them, either because they are games from a particular company or because of the always controversial exclusivity whether temporary or not. Fortunately, some companies are beginning to diversify their products so that more players can access their titles without having to access different launchers over and over again. This is why Ubisoft has announced that four games from its catalog will reach Steam during the next few months.
Ubisoft brings more of its own games to Steam
Thus, Ubisoft has announced that four of its video games will arrive on Steam in stages over the next few months. The titles chosen for the occasion are Far Cry 6, Rainbow Six Extraction, Riders Republic and Monopoly Madness, which will be available for the first time on Valve’s platform despite the time elapsed since their original releases on other platforms. Thus, the release schedule for these four games on Steam is as follows:
Let’s remember that last year from Ubisoft already assured fans that they were evaluating constantly how to bring their games to different audiences wherever they were, at the same time that they aim to provide a consistent player ecosystem through Ubisoft Connect, thus confirming this new trend of diversifying its catalog of titles on other PC platforms.
Other Ubisoft titles which are already available on Steam are Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Watch Dogs Legion, and Immortals Fenyx Rising.
