Valorant: All the upcoming changes and when the new Icebox maps arrive

Valorant’s Episode 8 Act 1 is about to arrive and the users’ favorite Icebox will return to the map pool, although with some design changes.

Games as a service are always in a constant state of change and improvement, and Valorant, Riot Games’ team-based shooter, is no slouch. With Episode 8 Act 1 coming soon, the studio has already unveiled some of the details that will be coming, as well as the return of one of the maps that had left its rotation, Icebox.

Valorant Episode 8, maps and changes in Icebox

It was through their social media earlier this year that the team behind Valorant unveiled new details of what will come in the new update. Among these was the new map rotation, including Icebox, Lotus, Sunset, Breeze, Ascent, Bind, Split, as well as a series of changes that would arrive at the top of this list.

Through some images recently published by the Riot Games team on their Twitter account, we can see some of the changes that are coming to different points of the map, both in the B-Site and in the middle of the map, there are some adjustments, although there is no change for the Icebox A-Site.

These changes are not that radical, although they will change some of the internal strategies you may have. Many of these adjustments are changes to the environment decor, either with more containers appearing at one point or another, as is the case in the middle of the map, or the appearance of some boxes in the inner B-tube, as well as a window on the outside.

You can see all these tweaks in the thread posted by Valorant below.

What do you think of these changes? Do you think they will change the way you play and the strategies you use on this map? Tell us in the comments.

Valorant Episode 8 Act 1 arrives next January 8.
