Vanessa Kirby describes filming ‘The Fantastic Four’ alongside Pedro Pascal as “surreal”

‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’, the upcoming Marvel Studios movie that is set to finally bring the comics’ “First Family” into the MCU, is one of the most anticipated superhero movies of 2025; Vanessa Kirby, the actress who will play Sue Storm in the film, has shared her first impressions of the filming of the movie, ensuring that “it’s surreal”, in addition to adding that they are having a great time.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the ‘Mission Impossible’ and ‘Napoleon’ star shared her excitement to be the new Sue Storm, giving life to a character with so much history in the comics: I’m flying back tonight in about two hours to go back onto set. It’s quite surreal. I’m loving [Sue]. I love her so much”, Kirby acknowledged about her character.

“I love her in the comics, I’m honored to play her. I love Ebon, Joe, and Pedro. We’re having a great time.”, she continued about her experience filming ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ for Marvel Studios. Thus, we know that the filming of the long-awaited film is progressing as expected, intending to be completed in the coming weeks for it to jump into the post-production phase.

‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 25, 2025, a month which coincides with two other major film premieres: ‘Superman’, the first entry of the new DCU by James Gunn, and ‘Jurassic World: Rebirth’, the next delivery from the famous dinosaur saga.
