Viewers are blown away by the new version of ‘The Ghost in the Shell’ on Prime Video: “It captures the essence of the original”

Prime Video is building up a solid lineup of notable anime titles. ‘Nippon Sangoku’ even won over Hideo Kojima himself. Now, a few weeks later, ‘The Ghost in the Shell,’ the new adaptation of the legendary work, is coming to the platform. Its first episode has won over both longtime fans and newcomers.

“I’m completely captivated by the pilot episode of ‘The Ghost in the Shell,’” reads one of the tweets praising the series. “Its colorful art direction is so fabulous... But beyond its visual beauty, Science Saru manages to capture the essence of the original work, while infusing it with an irresistible energy and freshness.”

The first episode is available with an Amazon subscription. New episodes will be released weekly until the ten episodes expected for this first season are complete, as it has not been specified how long the season will be.

The project’s animation team is made up entirely of animation veterans. Science Saru has done a sensational job on projects such as ‘Dandadan’ and ‘Sanda.’ In fact, they are currently in the midst of producing the third season of the story of Momo and Okarun.
