Vin Diesel pays tribute to 'Fast & Furious' 'brother' Paul Walker eleven years after his death

The star of the ‘Fast & Furious’ saga remembers his co-star and friend, who died in a car accident, every year at this time.

Paul Walker, one of the stars of the ‘Fast & Furious’ saga and a regular in more than a few action thrillers between the 90s and 2000s, died in a car accident on November 30th, 2013, leaving the film industry reeling from the heartbreaking news. Now, as he has done every year at this time since that loss, actor Vin Diesel, Walker’s co-star and great friend, is paying tribute to his missing “brother”. Vin Diesel himself has just published this on his Instagram account, posting a picture of the two of them together and an emotional message.

Vin Diesel remembers his friend Paul Walker

In 2001, Paul Walker shot to international fame playing Brian O’Conner, a police officer who infiltrates the Los Angeles street-racing scene to investigate a series of robberies involving semi-trailers. He soon befriends Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel), the leader of a gang of street racers, and the rest is history, creating one of the most representative action sagas of the early 2000s, still going strong more than twenty years later.

However, during the production of ‘Fast & Furious 7′, tragedy struck the entire team when Paul Walker was killed in a car accident on the streets of Santa Clarita, California, when his friend and partner Roger Rodas lost control of the supercar and both died in the flames. Since then, Vin Diesel has paid tribute to his friend Paul Walker on each anniversary of his death, and this year has not missed a beat.

Eleven years, today… Some bonds truly never break.. Grateful, for that eternal brotherhood. Love and miss you," Vin Diesel wrote on his official Instagram account, next to a black and white photo of the two of them. The image has already garnered nearly 3.5 million likes and almost 23,000 comments, demonstrating the affection fans have for both Paul Walker and Vin Diesel’s tributes.
