Fallout’ has become on its own merits not only one of the most notable releases of 2024, but also one of the best video game adaptations of all time. Walton Goggins, who gave life to the terrifying Ghoul in the Prime Video series, has revealed that filming has already begun for season 2.

Walton Goggins, the terrifying Ghoul from ‘Fallout’, confirms the start of filming for season 2 of the series

Through an Instagram post in which we can see the actor with various pieces of prosthetic makeup, Walton Goggins has revealed the start of filming for season 2 of ‘Fallout’. “Back in the saddle… #Deux. Gatdamn it feels good to slip on this skin. I do this shit for the love of the Game,” says Goggins in his post.

To give life to the terrifying Ghoul in ‘Fallout’, a being horribly disfigured by the radiation of nuclear war, Goggins needed makeup sessions that could last up to five hours, which attests to the actor’s commitment to the role, as well as the huge production values of the series both in terms of CGI and practical effects. The results spoke for themselves, which means that the second season has plenty of expectations riding behind it.

Several months ago, actress Leslie Uggams revealed that the new episodes would begin filming in November 2024, although it seems like the actress missed the mark by a few days, since filming only began at the beginning of December. In any case, it is very good news for fans of the series.

Although there is no confirmed release date yet., taking into account the production timeline of the first season of the show, it seems likely that ‘Fallout’ season 2 will release between the end of 2025 and the beginning of 2026.

The first season was left with an open ending, so it is expected that the new episodes will continue to delve into the plot lines that remained to be explored. With its solvent combination of genres, the new chapters of the series promise to continue being an authentic roller coaster of emotions while continuing to demonstrate the great fidelity of ‘Fallout’ with respect to video games. This, for many, has turned this beloved series into a meeting point between fans of the franchise and lovers of dystopian television fiction.
