What happened to Newt, the girl in 'Aliens' played by Carrie Henn?

The future of many child stars becomes a blur. This is what happened to Carrie Henn, who played Newt in Aliens.

The release of the latest movie directed by Fede Alvarez, ‘Alien Romulus’, has made us nostalgic for the movies of the past. Especially the original trilogy that introduced us to this universe of xenomorphs and Lieutenant Ripley who managed to save the day. When we see the large number of actors and actresses who have appeared in these movies, we often wonder what happened to those who did not become famous stars, or that we simply never heard of them again. On this occasion, we take a look at the case of Carrie Henn, who we met as Rebecca “Newt” Jorden in Aliens.

What happened to Carrie Henn after ‘Aliens’?

The answer is short, because after ‘Aliens’ in 1986, the young actress decided not to return to acting, although she has a credited role on IMDB as the voice of a “union worker” in the 2020 animated film ‘Thunder Island’. Other than that, her appearances in audiovisual media have been limited, mainly in behind-the-scenes interviews from the world of Alien.

Despite winning a Saturn Award for Best Performance by a Younger Actor in 1987, Carrie, who was born in 1976 in Panama City, Florida, went on with her normal life after ‘Aliens’. She graduated from California State University in 2000 and became a teacher.
