The release date for the upcoming big Nintendo game is just around the corner, and it will be a day that millions of gamers will remember. No wonder, since it is the release date of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the sequel to Breath of the Wild for Nintendo Switch. Some people can no longer wait, and the most talented take the opportunity to let their imaginations run wild. Tears of the Kingdom as if it were a Game Boy Color? Why not?

The video’s description invites us to enjoy the commercial for “the latest anime commercial for a fictional The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom release,” a clarification that is not superfluous, as it even shows a Game Boy Color in a special edition themed to the game, along with its price. Check out the full video below, which shows off some of the characteristic elements of Link’s new adventure, such as the descent from the sky and the creation of vehicles, among others.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, GOTY 2023 Candidate?

Although it is still early and it might not be correct to talk about possible winners before the launch, the history of the video game tells us that it will be one of the contenders along with another heavyweight like Final Fantasy XVI. At MeriStation we consider it a legendary duel, something that has happened in other years like 2000, when we saw an impressive Zelda: Majora’s Mask versus Final Fantasy IX. Time will tell where each will end up, but it is undeniable that we are talking about a title eagerly awaited by millions of gamers.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will be released exclusively for Nintendo Switch on May 12.
