Xbox

When are Sea of Thieves, Hi-Fi Rush, Pentiment, and Grounded coming to PS5 and Switch?

We round up all the release dates for the four Xbox titles coming to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 in the first half of the year.

When are Sea of Thieves, Hi-Fi Rush, Pentiment, and Grounded coming to PS5 and Switch?

It’s been an intense few weeks regarding the state of the industry, and of course, the world of exclusives as we know it. After a series of leaks and a few weeks of anticipation, rumors, guesswork, and so on, Xbox finally announced yesterday the list of the first four games that Xbox Game Studios has been working on and that, following a change in the company’s business model, will be coming to consoles outside the Xbox ecosystem. It’s time for people outside the Xbox ecosystem to enjoy Sea of Thieves, Pentiment, Hi-Fi Rush, and Grounded.

When and on which platform will these games be released?

Although the announcement was made officially last week, at that time Phil Spencer decided not to reveal the names of the games, nor the consoles to which it would arrive. But yesterday, throughout the day and at events such as the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase, the names of these titles were revealed, as well as formally defined through a statement on Xbox Wire, the dates and consoles on which they would arrive.

Pentiment

Though it wasn’t announced with much fanfare, Pentiment has the distinction of being the first game from an Xbox Game Studios studio to cross over to other consoles. This unique detective game with medieval art developed by Obsidian Entertainment is available today, February 22nd, on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

Hi-Fi Rush

One of last year’s surprises in many ways will be the second title to arrive. Developed by Tango Gameworks, this rhythm action game will be coming to PlayStation 5 on March 19th.

Grounded

The first title announced as part of this expansion and the second developed by Obsidian Entertainment. This cooperative survival game, where adventures in the garden are bigger than they seem, is coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 next April 16.

Sea of Thieves

Rare’s pirate game is finally set to sail other seas, this time on PlayStation 5 on April 30th. The new sailors are expected to arrive a few weeks before the end of the current Sea of Thieves Season 11.
