When does Clove release in VALORANT: everything you need to know about the new agent
VALORANT’s 25th agent, Clove, is releasing very soon, and Riot Games has already revealed exactly when, and what to expect from the new playable character.
Riot Games has just revealed Clove, the next agent joining VALORANT’s roster of playable characters, and they’ve already shown massive potential for gameplay..
Coming as part of Episode 8 Act II, which started on March 5, 2024, Clove is a non-binary Scottish agent that falls under the controller category of characters. This means that they’ve been designed to alter the flow of each battle by messing with their opponents, even after death. That’s because they’re actually immortal, which is where a lot of their abilities center and what makes them such an interesting confcept to add to a game like VALORANT.
What are Clove’s abilities in VALORANT?
Blocking vision, damage over time, health draining and self revives are the main arsenal of Clove, making them a force to be reckoned that can both maintain their presence (and pressure) on the battlefield, all while aiding teammates all over the map with occlusion. Below you’ll find all of their abilities:
- (E) Ruse: EQUIP to view the battlefield. FIRE to set the locations where Clove’s clouds will settle. ALT FIRE to confirm, launching clouds that block vision in the chosen areas. Clove can use this ability after death.
- (Q) Meddle: EQUIP a fragment of immortality essence. FIRE to throw the fragment, which erupts after a short delay and temporarily decays all targets caught inside.
- (C) Pick-me-up: INSTANTLY absorb the life force of a fallen enemy that Clove damaged or killed, gaining haste and temporary health.
- (X / ULT) Not Dead Yet: After dying, ACTIVATE to resurrect. Once resurrected, Clove must earn a kill or a damaging assist within a set time or they will die.
When is Clove releasing in Valorant?
You won’t have to wait much for the release of Clove, as they’re set to come to the game shortly after the end of the VCT Masters Madrid event. That means that on March 26, 2024, you’ll be able to get them in the game and start mastering all of their abilities.
