When does the new Fortnite season start? Date, schedules, and all the information

Fortnite is getting ready to welcome Season 4 of its Chapter 6. Titled Shock ‘N Awesome, this new stage of the game immerses us fully into a terrifying invasion of bugs arising from the Super: Showdown event. When does the new Fortnite season begin? Date and times

The Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4, titled Shock ‘N Awesome, kicks off next Thursday, August 7 at 1:30 AM ET. This date and time correspond to the following times across the United States:

• 1:30 AM ET
• 12:30 AM CT
• 10:30 PM PT

In order to enjoy the content of the new season, we will have to download patch 37.00, which is the one that will bring all the new features. Once this is done, we will have to wait a few hours for Epic Games to restore the servers after implementing all these changes. In the worst-case scenario, if there are any unforeseen problems, it is possible that Fortnite will be offline for a day or even more. What is the new season of Fortnite about?

Shock ‘N Awesome is the 37th season of the game, and its theme is a bug invasion. Superman’s defeat of the Mastermind in the Super: Final Battle event has caused a serious problem: from the remains of this demonic being has emerged a lethal infestation of grotesque insects that threatens to wipe out the entire island. To help with its containment, several UNSC SPARTAN soldiers from the Halo saga arrive in the form of new female SPARTAN IV armor outfits.

To help with the infestation, new weapons will be available, such as the Swarmstrike, a rocket launcher that fires barrages of micromissiles, perfect for destroying multiple small targets such as insects.

It is also rumored that there will be Power Rangers outfits, including a secret Megazord outfit. These iconic TV characters are also experts at dealing with all sorts of alien threats, so their inclusion is quite thematically appropriate.

Finally, although not confirmed, given the theme of the new season, two other possible collaborations would be new outfits from Starship Troopers and Helldivers. These two franchises also actively fight against insectoid aliens, so their inclusion would also be justified. This would be a golden opportunity to please the many fans of these two beloved sci-fi franchises.

Ultimately, through these types of changes and new features, Epic Games is keeping Fortnite fresh since its launch in 2017.
