When does VALORANT Maintenance end? Patch 9.0 update notes and when you can start playing
A new VALORANT Episode is ready to begin, but the update brought with it a bit of a downtime for the servers. Here’s what you need to know.
The end of Episode 8 Act 3 of VALORANT has come and gone, and to mark it as such a new update, Patch 9.0, was set to be released today across all regions where the game is available to play. However, as is usual with these kind of live updates, that also implies a downtime for the servers while the patch is applied.
This resulted in many players being unable to play, and wondering just how long they would have to wait before the maintenance period ended. At the time of publication, this downtime has already finished (officially, at least) in most regions, but some players might still be unable to join any games while servers stabilize themselves. However, most users should be able to download Patch 9.0 already.
VALORANT Server maintenance downtime
The timings for the Patch 9.0 maintenance period were as follows:
- Asia Pacific (South and South-East Asian servers): server maintenance start on June 26, 2024 at 2:30 am IST
- Brazil: server maintenance start on June 25, 2024, at 6:00 am PT.
- Europe: server maintenance start on June 26, 2024, at 5:00 am CEST.
- Korea: server maintenance start on June 26, 2024, at 6:00 am KST.
- Latin America: server maintenance start on June 25, 2024, at 6:00 am PT.
- North America: server maintenance start on June 25, 2024, at 6:00 am PT.
Typically, maintenance periods tend to take between 1-2 hours each, varying according to the region. This time, however, the developers warned that things could potentially take up to 5 hours on every region. And so it did, with reports of the game being down up until around 11:30 am PT, regardless of the server. Thankfully, this period has now officially ended, so while some players might see some issues before getting into their first match of the day, there shouldn’t be any larger problems anymore.

With this new patch, the beginning of a brand new episode has arrived tot he game, with Agent rebalances, a new Battlepass, rank refreshes, and the promise of new Agents and skins.
