Rainbow Six Siege Year 9, all you need to know

When is Rainbow Six Siege Year 9 coming?

As announced at the recent Six Invitational 2024, the ninth annual update, Operation Deadly Omen, arrives today, March 12, and will be divided into four seasons, adding a total of two new operators, with Deimos being the first we will meet.

Operators, Improvements, and Upgrades

This Operator marks a milestone in the history of the game, as it is the first time that an Operator villain joins the game roster. This Operator arrives with the DeathMARK gadget, which has an ability that will make it easier to eliminate players roaming the map. It is a flying probe that reveals the location of the target and Deimos until one is eliminated.

In addition to the Operator, we can expect some improvements such as the Revamped Shield Mechanic, which upgrades Operators with the Ballistic Shield, removing the hip fire but adding the ability to run with the shield attached, as well as other features such as pushing full barricades. Attachment and display upgrades have also been improved, adding changes to sights, grips, under barrels, and more.

There have also been several quality-of-life and gameplay improvements. The first is the improvement of the locker, a new management system to better organize item and cosmetic collections. On the other hand, some operator and weapon balances are being worked on, as well as improvements to the use of rappel and trajectory previsualization.
