When is LoL Worlds 2024: date and times for the tournament matches
League of Legends’ grand global tournament, Worlds, is almost upon us once again, and here’s what you need to know.
The League of Legends World Cup is one of the biggest highlights of the year for esports. Worlds 2024, the most important event of the season for the Riot Games MOBA, will take place in Europe this year, specifically in Germany, France, and the United Kingdom, countries in which the best teams on the planet will compete looking for a place in the finals to be played in London.
A total of 20 teams will be measured throughout three phases, starting with a Play-In in which six teams will seek a place in the next phase, but only two will achieve it. Once there, a total of 16 teams, with 14 that are already classified and two that arrive from the Play-In phase to the Swiss phase, which follows a competition system that started at Worlds 2023 and from which eight teams will leave a final phase that starts from quarters.
When does the League of Legends World Cup start?
The 2024 League of Legends World Cup starts on September 25th with the opening phase and ends on November 2 with the grand finale.
Worlds 2024 times and dates
- The opening phase will take place from September 25 to 29 at the Riot Games Arena in Berlin.
- The Swiss phase will take place from October 19 to 23 and from October 26 to 29 at the Riot Games Arena in Berlin.
- The quarter-finals run from October 17 to 20 and the semi-finals on the 26th and 27th of the same month, all matches will be played at the Adidas Arena in Paris.
- The Finals of League of Legends Worlds 2024 will be held on November 2nd at the O2 Arena in London.
