When is LoL Worlds 2025: schedules and dates for Movistar KOI, Fnatic, G2, and other teams’ matches
Worlds 2025 will kick off on October 14 in China and run until November 9, with G2, Movistar KOI, Fnatic, and other LoL giants participating.

The League of Legends Worlds 2025 tournament will be held between October 14 and November 9 at various venues in China: Beijing, Shanghai, and Chengdu. During these weeks, the representatives from Europe (LEC), G2 Esports, Movistar KOI, and Fnatic, will battle it out to become world champions.
All this after Madrid’s Caja Mágica hosted the LEC 2025 finals on September 26, 27, and 28, where Movistar KOI and G2 secured their spots in the World Championship after the regular season, while Fnatic qualified after defeating Karmine Corp in the quarterfinals. However, Fnatic fell to Movistar KOI in the semifinals, and G2 consolidated its position in the winners’ bracket to win convincingly 3-0 in the final.
Format and dates for Worlds 2025
The structure of the 2025 World Championship is divided into three phases:
- The opening/Play-In phase: There will be only one Play-In match, pitting T1 against Invictus Gaming on October 14 at 1:00 am PT, for a place in the Swiss phase.
- The Swiss stage will take place from October 15 to 25 at the Beijing Smart Esports Center in Beijing, and teams will have to achieve a total of three wins against opponents with the same record.
- The quarterfinals will take place from October 28 to 31 at the Mercedes-Benz Arena (Shanghai).
- The semifinals will be held on November 1 and 2, again at the Mercedes-Benz Arena.
- The final of the 2025 League of Legends World Championship will be held on November 9 at the Dong’an Lake Sports Park Multifunctional Gymnasium in Chengdu.
The Play-In stage will be held at the Beijing Smart Esports Center, where the tournament will kick off on October 14 with a notable matchup: T1 vs. Invictus Gaming, at 1:00 a.m. PT. Later, the Swiss phase will also take place in Beijing, and the matches in that stage will follow a Swiss system of “best of one” (Bo1) matches, except for the qualifying or elimination matches, which will be best of three (Bo3).
As the competition progresses, the quarterfinals and semifinals will be held at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai from October 28 to November 2, returning to the classic Bo5 (best of five) series format. Finally, the grand final will take place on November 9 at the Dong’an Lake Gymnasium in Chengdu.
In terms of timing, the matches are adapted to Pacific Time (PT).
- In the Play-Ins and Swiss phase, match times start around 1:00 a.m. PT for the first day of Play-Ins.
- During the Swiss phase, matches are spread out in slots ranging from early morning (10:00 p.m. PT) to 3:00 a.m. PT (rounds 3 and 4 take place between 1:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. PT).
- In the playoffs (quarterfinals and semifinals), matches begin at 11:00 p.m. PT. The world final is also scheduled for 11:00 p.m. PT.
