One of the most important groups in comics is about to return to theaters this weekend. Marvel’s first family, the Fantastic Four, will finally make their debut in the MCU, directed by Matt Shakman and starring Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn as this group of superheroes. And although this group has had a hard time landing well on the big screen, everything indicates that this time will be different. The Fantastic Four: First Steps is about to arrive, and we won’t have to wait long. This version kicks off Phase 6 of the MCU and will hit theaters on July 25.

The first teaser for Fantastic Four: First Steps was a very special one, being part of a launch stream as part of the Future Foundation in early February 2025.

A couple of months later, on April 17, we got the first trailer.

By the end of June, we had the final trailer for the movie.

Who is the cast of ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’?

This time around, the Fantastic Four won’t be telling an origin story, nor will they even share the same universe as the MCU. These are from Earth-828, following the entire Multiverse storyline. That said, we will see some aspects that are different from what we’re used to in the comics.

Set against the vibrant backdrop of a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, Marvel Studios’ “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” introduces Marvel’s First Family--Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ben Grimm/The Thing as they face their most daunting challenge yet. Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, they must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer. And if Galactus’ plan to devour the entire planet and everyone on it weren’t bad enough, it suddenly gets very personal.
