Where can I watch the original Beetlejuice? Is it necessary to watch the sequel?
In September, the movie that “revitalized” Tim Burton at his most disillusioned will be released.
Tim Burton’s classic is back and very soon, specifically next September 6, will be released in theaters to enjoy the interpretations of Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder, who return to the big screen to star in ‘Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice′.
After an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia’s life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, discovers the mysterious model of the town in the attic and the portal to the Afterlife is accidentally opened. With trouble brewing in both realms, it’s only a matter of time until someone says Beetlejuice’s name three times and the mischievous demon returns to unleash his very own brand of mayhem.
Where to watch Beetlejuice in the United States
Fortunately, the original 1988 film is available on streaming services. As a Warner Bros. production, it is available on MAX. If you want to rent or buy it, you can also find it on Apple TV.
Is it necessary to see the first movie to understand Beetlejuice 2?
The reality is that this sequel to ‘Beetlejuice’ is a stand-alone story, so it is not necessary to have seen the first version of the movie. But from MeriStation we recommend it to get to know the characters better and to relive one of Tim Burton’s fabulous movies.
