Who is the Saturday Night Live star with a cameo in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3′?

Director James Gunn reveals the secret cameo of a Saturday Night Live cast member in his latest film, in a scene that we would never imagined.

The latest Marvel movie, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, had a great weekend in theaters, marking the apparent end of this group. Like every Marvel movie, it is full of easter eggs and references. But there’s one that we won’t even know about unless its director, James Gunn, reveals it.

Through the Twitter Movies account, behind-the-scenes images of the latest installment of the franchise were published by director James Gunn. In one of these photos we can see Gunn along with Chris Pratt and former SNL alumni, Pete Davidson. The following quote accompanies the photo: “With my pal Pete Davidson who showed up one day to hang out and to shoot a cameo (it’s in the movie, but you have to look closely to find him…)”.

Warning: Possible spoilers for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 are below.

In which scene does Pete Davidson appear during Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3?

If you’re expecting the actor to show his face or appear as an extra somewhere, you’re wrong. The character Davidson plays is entirely CGI, and perhaps that’s why he’s so hard to find.

Davidson’s cameo is near the end of the movie, during the infiltration and escape sequence from the High Evolutionary’s ship. Specifically, it is the scene where the Guardians rescue all the genetically engineered creatures from the ship, which is about to explode. During this scene, Mantis releases a strange humanoid blob. Although she screams, this creature thanks Mantis while pretending to be afraid of something else behind the blob called Phlektik. Well, this creature is Davidson’s cameo, or rather, it’s the character the comedian voices.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 opened in theaters on May 5. If you want to know more about their post-credits scenes, we recommend that you read this article.
