There is the possibility of a third season, but it depends on the success of the second part.
The time has finally come to enjoy the second season of ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’. Starting this August 29, the new installment of Tolkien’s universe will be available on Prime Video, but only the first three chapters will be available on the first day. After that, a new episode will be released every week until October 3.
Sauron
This new cycle of ‘The Rings of Power’ is mainly characterized by the return of Sauron, and surely more than one of you should refresh your memory and remember who are the main characters and what were their main exploits. Elrond is one of the best-known half-elves in the Lord of the Rings universe. He is the son of Eärendil and Elwing and the twin brother of Elros. Unlike his brother, who chose to be mortal, Elrond chose to live as an immortal Elf. The series explores his history and family connections, emphasizing his close relationship with his brother and the role he plays in the events of Middle-earth.
Isildur
Isildur, whose name means “Servant of the Moon” in Quenya, was a Dúnedain, eldest son of Elendil and brother of Anárion. After escaping the destruction of Númenor in the year 3320 of the Second Age, he and his brother founded the kingdom of Gondor in Middle-earth.
Gil-galad

Son of Fingon, he participated in the events of the War of the Last Alliance and was also known as Ereinion. He was once the head of the White Council in the Second Age and wielded the spear Aeglos as his main weapon.
Adar
Adar is the leader of the Orcs, who goes in search of a powerful weapon in Theo’s hands and ends up getting it at the end of the first season. His name means “father” in Elvish, emphasizing his influence over the creatures he commands.
