Minecraft Legends, the upcoming game that takes the world of Minecraft and mixes it with elements of a strategy and action game, is very close to making its debut on PC and consoles. In fact, it is only a few days away. With the name Minecraft in the title, one already knows what to expect (and if not, we invite you to read our preview with the first hours of this experience), and you might consider this game for your 2023 adventures. So we take a look at some basic doubts about its release date and price.
When will Minecraft Legends be released?
Minecraft Legends will be released very soon, on April 18, 2023, to be exact, for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. As you can see, it will be a game available on all major platforms, so there will be plenty of opportunities to play.
Will Minecraft Legends be free-to-play?
The official answer is no. Minecraft Legends is a paid game and will come in two editions, a standard and a deluxe. The standard version will be priced at $39.99, which includes the base game. On the other hand, the deluxe edition will cost $49.99, and besides including the base game, it will include six additional in-game skins: a hero, four mounts, and an additional mount skin when it becomes available.
As you can see, this is a much lower price than most video game prices, which go up to $70. If you look at it in a certain way, since it is not a full-price game, it is a cheaper option than any other game on its release date.
Will Minecraft Legends be available on Game Pass?
If by free you mean it’s included in Game Pass, then the answer is yes. Well, considering it’s part of a subscription you’re paying for. But that’s right, Game Pass, PC Game Pass, or Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will get Day 1 access to Minecraft Legends on Xbox One, Xbox Series, or PC, depending on which service you subscribe to.
