Windblown, the new game from the creators of Dead Cells has a release date

Motion Twin is celebrating the announcement with the release of an exciting new trailer.

As part of Steam’s Motion Week, French studio Motion Twin announced that Windblown, their next project, will be released in Early Access on the aforementioned digital store on 24th October, putting an end to the impatient wait of fans. Let’s not forget that this is the same developer behind the venerable Dead Cells, which was also announced.

In Windblown, we take on the role of a Leaper who inhabits a fantastic world made up of an infinite number of floating islands, threatened by the arrival of the Vortex and its minions. But what really sets Windblown apart from other rogue-lite games is its spectacular isometric view, as well as its frenetic and highly responsive combat, which will be enhanced by a wide range of customization options, including abilities, powers, weapons, amulets, gifts, and fish - as strange as the latter may sound.

Even better, those who can’t wait for Windblown to arrive will be happy to know that Motion Twin will be making a free demo available to fans during the Steam Next Fest, with progress being transferable to the full version of the game. The Steam Next Fest will take place between the 14th and 21st of October.

Windblown will support single-player and co-op story modes for up to three players, but it should be noted that the demo will only include the first part of the single-player mode. However, downloaders will also receive an exclusive skin to reward their role as Windblown’s first testers.

As for Dead Cells, which this year received its animated series Immortalis as well as its latest major update, seven years after the title’s original release, Motion Twin announced that the English dub for the first episode of Dead Cells: Immortalis will be available on October 8th.

Dead Cells will also have its own board game called Dead Cells: The Rogue-Lite Board Game, which will be available in select stores in Europe and North America on November 8.
