World of Warcraft Classic Season of Discovery’s new raid is cleared in just 12 hours
Players of Blizzard’s MMO continue to prove their dedication over 20 years by defeating the new Gnomeregan raid in the Classic Edition.
The arrival of the second phase of World of Warcraft Classic’s Season of Discovery was like the blink of an eye for a group of dedicated players. Not only did they manage to reach the maximum level offered by this update, but they also managed to complete the new Gnomeregan raid, all in about 12 hours.
This feat was accomplished this morning (via Reddit) when a group of 10 players, including 5 mages, 2 warlocks, 2 priests, and a shaman, finally managed to kill the raid boss after several attempts that resulted in their being wiped out. Of course, they had to accomplish certain goals first, such as getting from level 25 to 40 and finding the associated equipment to survive. Luckily for them, they found a simple way to defeat this boss when they realized they could interrupt one of its spells.
Phase 2 of the Season of Discovery began yesterday, bringing a number of new features for players to continue exploring Azeroth. It raised the level cap from 25 to 40 thanks to new class runes, as well as new items, dungeon abilities, and other new features.
A bright future for World of Warcraft
During BlizzCon 2023, one thing became very clear: Being a World of Warcraft player is still exciting. For classic players, this Season of Discovery is proving to be a great appetizer for the main course: the fourth expansion, Cataclysm.
Meanwhile, players who have continued to play on the main servers are about to get a taste of “The Worldsoul Saga,” a trilogy of expansions that will be the culmination of 20 years of stories and events that will set the stage for the future of the series. The first expansion, The War Within, is a ‘big and ambitious’ that will be released later this year.
