Worst Pokémon TCG Pocket player ever: loses in a single turn with his own cards

Oh, foiled by my own shoddy merchandise!

Every once in a while, a video game comes along that grabs everyone’s attention and becomes incredibly popular for months on end, and the latest 2024 title to do just that was Pokémon TCG Pocket. Millions of fans of the Pocket Monster franchise are hooked on the mobile version of the classic Pokémon Trading Card Game, and social networks have been filled with images of each user’s incredible purchases.

But this time we want to focus on one particular event. In the past few hours, a clip has surfaced that has gone viral at breakneck speed. In it, the Pokémon TCG user known as Mokou made the worst move the community has ever seen: He lost a match in a matter of seconds on his first turn.

In the video in question, which has been viewed over 10 million times on X, this player starts the game by taking out a Mew EX and then uses ‘Budding Expeditioner’, both from the new set, ‘Mythic Island’. After that, he automatically loses. Why does this happen? Well, because since the second card in question is used to return Mew EX to your hand, Mokou was left with a completely empty Active Station, and according to the rules, you automatically lose.

In Pokémon TCG Pocket, you have to know how to play your cards right.

The user’s reaction is worth watching, as he can’t quite believe what just happened, and at the time, he probably didn’t even realize the reason for his resounding failure. Do you agree that this is the most disastrous Pokémon TCG Pocket move you’ve ever seen?
